Epilepsy is not only a common neurological disease but one which can be eminently treated with high rate of success mostly by antiepileptic drugs and partly through neurosurgery. There is, however, an unequal ratio between the number of people with epilepsy (PWE) in India and the availability of neurologists, particularly in the rural areas.
