This book on epidemiology is an attempt to throw more light of knowledge on non-communicable diseases especially amongst budding postgraduate students of community medicine, public health experts and also community nurses working in various set-ups. From my experiences in the past, I have felt the growing need for a book which could throw light on diagnosis, care and control of different lifestyle diseases, problems related to elderly age, etc., in a comprehensive way. The community medicine specialists, wellness physician, chronic disease specialist, fitness trainers are required to know about lifestyle diseases. These can be seen in every household globally and therefore its line of management must be known. Through this book, we have tried to throw light on various levels of preventive measures and the national programs related to the disease. We hope that reading this book will add more value to people’s lives by adding more quality years in disease cycle.
