The book Gems of OphthalmologyRetina covers a wide range of retinal diseases. Initial chapters have been devoted to the diagnostic procedures pertaining to the retinal diseases. Ophthalmoscopy, fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, and fundus autofluorescence are helpful in reaching to a correct diagnosis of retinal disorders. Choroidal imaging, with enhanced depth imaging and swept source optical coherence tomography, is a new modality for measuring the thickness of choroid, is being increasingly used in clinical practice.  Diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy and retinal vein occlusions are frequently encountered retinal disorders.
