Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics

The second edition of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics represents a major revision of the book originally published in 2000. This edition has been revised to incorporate new information that has become available since the publication of the first edition a decade ago. Among the major changes that have been made in the second edition, the following are noteworthy. The sequencing of some of the chapters has been revised to attain a logical approach in order to make the flow of material more realistic. A substantial number of solved examples and practice problems have been added to most of the chapters in this edition, and all tables and almost all figures have been formatted to fit the new style of this book. This edition also contains a new chapter dealing with non-compartmental methods because many research papers report such pharmacokinetic parameters as mean residence time and mean absorption time of the drug using the noncompartment methods without going through the rigorous task to establish the compartment model that will fit the data.
