This book have case histories along with relevant data from physical examination and investigative studies. Differential diagnosis has been constructed around case under study, and the reader is then guided through discussion that helps explain the case. This approach is a departure from many similar books where differential diagnosis is often not focused upon and rather than addressing the patient under discussion, differential diagnosis focuses on the disease entity in particular. Authors believe that a focused differential diagnosis simulates a real life situation better, and prepares reader to think while on their toes.  This book is also provided with a short list of suggested readings worthy of reading at the end of each case. This list is deliberately kept short to avoid pitfall of turning a case discussion into an exhaustive review that could be distracting. The compendium is a mixture of routine and some very interesting cases. It is our hope that learners will find the format easy to navigate and at the same time loaded with information that is relevant and highly pertinent.
